It is required that InsightCM to send email notifications using Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online). This article explains whether InsightCM supports Microsoft 365 email notifications and which versions are compatible.
Solution
Yes. InsightCM version 3.9.3 and later supports sending email notifications using Microsoft 365.
InsightCM versions 3.9.2 and earlier do not support Microsoft 365 because they rely exclusively on basic authentication methods, including anonymous authentication, username and password authentication, and SMTP relay.
Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online) requires modern authentication, which became mandatory starting December 21, 2022. Because of this requirement, basic authentication methods are no longer supported.
Beginning with InsightCM 3.9.3, Microsoft 365 email notifications are supported through modern authentication using Microsoft’s Graph Application Programming Interface (API).
To enable Microsoft 365 email notifications, the customer must upgrade InsightCM to version 3.9.3 or later.
