Force Periodic Aging Strategy in InsightCM

Issue Details

Is there a way to force the new Aging Strategy to take effect without waiting for the newly configured time interval?

Solution/Procedure

This is done in two parts: first define the new aging strategy in the InsightCM interface, then run the aging command on the server to apply it immediately.

1. In InsightCM, go to Navigation Menu > Options > Periodic Aging Strategy.
2. Define the strategy in the Periodic Aging Strategy window, then click OK.
   1. Review and adjust the retention period as needed (for example, reducing it from 90 days to 60 days).
   2. When you run the command in the following steps, it applies this new configuration and removes the datasets that were retained under the previous aging strategy.

3. On the InsightCM server, open a Command Prompt and navigate to: 

   C:\Program Files\Cutsforth\InsightCM

4. Run the following command: insightcmconsole.exe doaging
5. Wait until you receive the success message confirming that the task has completed.
