Customers may ask whether data collected by Erbessd Wireless Sensors can be sent to InsightCM after a temporary loss of communication. This question typically arises when the gateway loses its connection to the InsightCM server and resumes connectivity later.
Solution / Procedure
No. Erbessd Wireless Sensors do not store or forward data when the gateway is not connected to the InsightCM server.
InsightCM controls and schedules periodic data collection by actively requesting data from the gateway at configured intervals. When the gateway loses its connection to InsightCM, it does not initiate data collection from the sensors. As a result, no data is collected, buffered, or backlogged during the period in which the connection to InsightCM is unavailable.
Once connectivity to InsightCM is restored, data collection resumes normally based on the configured schedule, but any data that would have been collected during the outage is not recovered.
