Issue Details
When troubleshooting hardware such as cRIOs, IC‑3120, or CVS‑1458, users may need to verify information such as IP address configuration, firmware version, or device status. In some cases, these devices do not appear or cannot be accessed in NI MAX due to missing or incompatible drivers.
Solution
To view and manage these devices in NI MAX, the appropriate National Instruments drivers must be installed based on the device type and the InsightCM version in use.
cRIOs
- Install NI CompactRIO Driver 19.5 for InsightCM versions 3.6 to 3.10.
- Install NI CompactRIO Driver 24.0 for InsightCM version 3.12 or later.
IC‑3120
- Install NI Industrial Controller Driver 19 for InsightCM versions 3.6 to 3.10.
CVS‑1458
- Install Vision Acquisition Software 19.5.
After installing the correct driver, restart the system and verify that the device is visible and accessible in NI MAX.
