Clean the Camera Lens

Preventive Maintenance Need: Advised

Frequency: As needed

Action: Clean the camera lens using a soft, lint-free, scratch-free cloth.

CAUTION

The camera lens is a precision optical component. Do not touch the lens with bare fingers, and avoid scratching the lens surface. Keep the lens cap in place whenever the camera is not in active service.

Clean the Outside of Enclosures

Preventive Maintenance Need: Advised

Frequency: As needed

Action: Clean the exterior of the enclosure(s), as needed, to remove excess buildup of dust, debris, or other contamination and to prevent overheating. Ensure the enclosure door is shut while cleaning to prevent contact with internal components. Use a non-conductive, non-residue cleaner (a 70% isopropyl alcohol and 30% water mixture) and a soft, lint-free, scratch-free cloth that will not scratch the enclosure surface.

Clean Enclosures' Internal Electrical Components

Preventive Maintenance Need: Advised

Frequency: As needed

Action: Using a compressed-air duster approved for electronics, blow all dust and debris off the electrical components inside the enclosure(s).
