The Wired Vibration Monitoring system uses an InsightCM edge hardware data acquisition device (cRIO) to acquire vibration signals at the field level. Processed data and extracted features are transmitted via TCP over an Ethernet network to the InsightCM server application, which provides data storage, trending, alarming, and data-viewer access. The server can be connected to the plant historian and to business-network users via HTTPS.
Note
InsightCM requires a dedicated server. If NI SystemLink is present on the target machine (for example, from a previous NI deployment), install InsightCM on a different server, as the two products cannot share a machine.
