Copying the MongoDB and File Directory Folders

Issue Details

This article explains the recommended procedure to safely back up the InsightCM server data by copying the MongoDB database and Files directory folders. 

Solution

To safely create a backup of the InsightCM Mongo Database (MongoDB) and Files directory, follow the steps below.

1. Log in to the InsightCM server.
2. Open Services from the Windows Start menu.
3. Stop the following services:
   1. InsightCM
   2. InsightCM MongoDB

   3. PostgresSQL

       

       

      

4. Copy the MongoDB and Files directory located by default at: 

   C:\ProgramData\Cutsforth\InsightCM 

   Note: The directory location may vary depending on the installation or custom configuration.

    

5. After the folders have been copied to a secure backup location, restart the services in the following order:
   1. PostgresSQL
   2. InsightCM MongoDB
   3. InsightCM
